Garden City sits along the Boise River and the Greenbelt, where older bungalows and new townhomes share compact yards and tight side lots. If your backyard is hard-baked caliche under the silty soil, or your front yard is governed by HOA rules, or your dog has turned a corner patch to mud and smell, artificial grass solves it fast and honestly.
Boise Turf Installation has served Garden City (83714) and the surrounding Boise area since 2013. We know the Treasure Valley's high-desert heat, the freeze-thaw winters, and the yards that need to work harder than a Kentucky bluegrass lawn can manage. We install residential turf, pet turf, putting greens, pool surrounds, patios and balconies, and we repair and replace turf that has failed. We write down the turf specs, the base depth and the infill so you know exactly what you are getting.
Artificial Grass Installation in Garden City (83714)
Garden City yards are small and efficient. Front yards are often governed by HOA architectural rules that specify pile height, face weight, color and edging. Backyards are tight, fenced, and hard-worked by kids and dogs. The soil under most yards is silty bench land over caliche hardpan, which drains poorly and bakes hard in the 100-degree summers. Real grass struggles here, and when it dies, homeowners face a brown, dusty yard or a costly sod replacement every few years. Artificial turf cuts the watering, handles the heat and the freeze-thaw, and stays green through the dry season and the winter.
Our team has installed residential turf in Garden City backyards, pet turf in dog runs, and patio turf on tight side yards where space is tight and foot traffic is high. We have handled HOA submittals for front-yard work, removed old turf and lawn, and fixed drainage problems before laying base. We know the Greenbelt neighborhoods, the newer townhome developments, and the winery patios that need turf to look finished fast. A typical Garden City yard is 400 to 1,000 square feet, and access for rolls and a plate compactor is usually tight. We plan for it.

How a Job Works in Garden City
We start with a free on-site assessment. You tell us what the yard needs, and we walk the property, measure the area, check the drainage and sun exposure, and look at any HOA rules or local requirements. We take photos and give you a written estimate with the turf product, face weight, pile height, infill type and pounds per square foot, base depth and cost. No surprises.
On installation day, we remove the old lawn, sod or turf if it is there. We grade and compact the base, usually four to six inches of recycled asphalt or recycled concrete, tamped level. If the yard drains poorly, we may add a perforated underdrain or slope the base to a low point. We unroll the turf, cut it to fit, seam it tight, and brush in the infill (usually silica sand and rubber crumb, or silica sand alone). For front-yard work, we handle HOA submittals and coordinate with your HOA before we start, though we cannot promise approval. We respect fences, patios, planting beds and utility lines, and we call for a private utility locate before we dig.
When we are done, we clean up all scraps and debris, blow the turf clean, and walk you through the yard so you know how to rinse it, when to rake it, and what to expect in the heat. Your property is clean and ready to use.
Residential artificial grass installation in Garden City starts at $8 per square foot. Pet turf usually starts around $10 per square foot. A 400 square foot backyard typically costs $3,200 to $4,000 for residential turf, or $4,000 to $5,000 for pet-grade turf rated for heavy dog use. A 1,000 square foot yard runs $8,000 to $10,000 for residential turf, or $10,000 to $12,500 for pet turf. Putting greens start at $15 per square foot. Pool surrounds and patio turf typically start around $9 per square foot. Removal of old turf or lawn starts at about $2 per square foot. The final price depends on the turf product and face weight you choose, the infill type, the base depth required, whether we have to remove and haul old material, and how tight the access is.
